Actress Eula Valdez has come to the defense of her manager, Ricky Gallardo, who was accused recently of having another actor booted out of his ward's soap opera.
“Nagkaroon lang ng misunderstanding. Hindi rin naman ganoon si Ricky na klaseng tao,” Valdez said in an interview.
Weeks prior, reports that Gallardo had allegedly asked to have DJ Durano stricken off the list of the show's cast, surfaced. This did not sit well with DJ’s manager, Wenn Deramas, who happens to also be the director of the show.
Valdez noted, “Alam mo wala naman akong kinalaman talaga d’yan, eh. Kailangan nila kumausap sa manager ko,” the actress related.
Valdez approves of Durano as her partner in the soap since “unang-una, nakatrabaho ko na si DJ [sa] 'Kampanerang Kuba' pa lang. Kanya-kanyang diskarte ‘yan.”
She said she will never have anyone eased out from any of her projects. Never, never.”
She pointed out that her association with Wen dates back to her “Teysi ng Tahanan” days back in the '90s.
