Pokwang and Joey de Leon End Rift

Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto has confirmed the reconciliation of comedienne Pokwang and his friend, Joey de Leon.

Celebrity program “Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN)” reported that the reconciliation took place on the set of Sotto and Bea Alonzo's first film project, "Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!”

Sotto also told SNN that even his first meeting with Pokwang was like a drama scene in a movie.

"Pagdating ko nandoon na siya. Nagkatinginan kami, nag-smile ako sa kanya, siya naman pumatak ang luha sa kaliwa. Nag-akapan kami. Wala ng sali-salita. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, huwag ka ng umiyak.’ Sabi ko, 'Ano okay na tayo?' Sabi niya, 'Okay na,'” Sotto said.

In 2008, de Leon made fun of Pokwang on his noontime television show by singing - to the tune of John Lennon’s “Imagine” - that she looked like an aswang (a blood-sucking monster).

Pokwang was then a co-host of now defunct ABS-CBN TV program “Wowowee,” a strong rival of de Leon’s noontime show.
