Direk Jose Javier Reyes Remembers Working With AJ Perez

'Yung rationalization ko na lamang kung bakit ke aga-agang kinuha siya is that napakabait niyang tao."

This is how veteran director Jose Javier Reyes described how he feels about the untimely death of young actor AJ Perez, who was killed in a vehicular accident.

Reyes said he took time off to offer special prayers for the late actor. Reyes directed AJ in the films "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo", "Sakal, Sakali Saklolo" and "Magkaibigan."

The director also praised the "Sabel" star for his dedication to his craft.

"Ang dami-daming bata na gustong mag-artista. Si AJ ang alam kong passionate sa pagiging artista at passionate din sa pagiging estudyante," he said in an interview in Boracay.

"Gerry and his wife were very lucky na pinahiram sa kanila ng Panginoon si AJ," he added.

The award-winning director told ABS-CBN News that the entire showbiz industry can attest to AJ's good heart.

"Umikot ka sa buong sirkulo ng showbiz, wala ni isang tao na magsasabi na anything negative about AJ Perez and that is so surprising," he ended.

AJ was killed in a vehicular accident in Tarlac after doing a show in Dagupan last April 16.

The 18-year-old actor was with his father and 4 others when an ABS-CBN van carrying them collided with a Partas provincial passenger bus along McArthur Highway in Barangay San Julian.

AJ's remains will be interred at the Manila Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 26.
