Amid the divisive debates on the Reproductive Health bill, ABS-CBN has stepped up and will stage the very first television debate on another controversial measure--the proposed divorce bill of the Philippines.Anchored by broadcast-journalist Korina Sanchez, the debate dubbed “Harapan: Divorce Bill, Ipasa o Ibasura?” will tackle the relevance of the proposed measure to every Filipino.
It will aim to inform viewers on what this bill will do to Filipinos once it is legalized.
Just recently, Congress has revived the debate on this matter after Malta voted in a referendum to pass a divorce law. This leaves the Philippines as the only country outside of the Vatican that does not allow divorce.
“Harapan: Divorce Bill, Ipasa o Ibasura?” will air on June 12 on ABS-CBN Sunday’s Best.
