“Pilipinas Got Talent” first grand winner Jovit Baldivino and multi-platinum recording artist Juris are the big winners of the 2nd Tambayan OPM Awards held Saturday night at the SM City North EDSA Sky Dome. Baldivino bagged the Male Artist of the Year award. He bested Pinoy Dream Academy winner Bugoy Drilon and the Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual. The YouTube sensation and First PGT grand champion was also hailed Best New Artist of the Year.
Juris, on the other hand took home the Female Artist of the Year trophy beating KC Concepcion, Yeng Constantino, and Toni Gonzaga. The former MYMP lead vocalist also won the Song of the Year award for her single “Di Lang Ikaw” which she has co-written with fellow Sessionistas, Aiza Seguerra.
Rock band Siakol won the prestigious Album of the Year award while Six Part Invention hailed the Band of the Year.
Christian Bautista, Jovit Baldivino, Faith Cuneta, Jericho Rosales, Six Part Invention, Ney of 6 Cycle Mind, Gloc 9, Siakol, Itchy Worms, Maldita, Frio, the Star Power 4 with Star Power grand winner Angeline Quinto and the Tambayan 101.9 djs delivered live performances.
The event was hosted by Francine Prieto and Jayson Gainza in his character as “Tito Boy.”
