More Advertisers Pulling Out from Willie Revillame's Show

Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines on Thursday said it has suspended advertising on “Willing Willie” following an incident involving a 6-year-old boy.

“We are aware of the recent incident on the program ‘Willing Willie’ and we have suspended advertising on the show beginning April 7, 2011 while the incident is being reviewed and investigated by authorities,” P&G said in a statement sent to ABS-CBN News.

“P&G always strives to advertise on programs that align with our values as a company and our purpose to touch and improve life. We routinely monitor the media in which our brands' messages appear and make advertising decisions that meet our policies and achieve our goals,” it added.

“Willing Willie” has been accused of child abuse when it allowed a crying 6-year-old boy to dance like a male stripper during its March 12 episode.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) is currently investigating the issue
