Dawn Zulueta Didn't Allow Her Kids to Watch Upsetting Scenes in Mula Sa Puso

As much as Dawn Zulueta enjoys doing the top-rating teleserye Mula Sa Puso, she said that she might take a rest from doing soaps so that she could spend more time with her kids Jacobo and Ayiesha, who are five years old and one year and 9 months old, respectively. “Okay naman, I have very good angels with me. The yayas naman are there. I tried to be as hands-on as much as possible. So on the days that I’m free, importante I get to spend time with them. Siguro after this pahinga muna, ang hirap ng trabaho ‘pag series e. It takes too much time of our time. After this iba naman ang gagawin ko. Either I host a show or maybe I’ll go back to theater stage or do a movie.”

Given her often intense and upsetting scenes as Magda in Mula Sa Puso, Dawn decided not to let her children watch the show. “Actually, I gave instruction to the yayas na huwag ipapanood, because they won’t understand watching me na inaapi, pinahihirapan ako, I don’t want them to see that, hindi pa nila mage-gets yun. Kay Jacobo pwede pa ma-explain pero kay Ayiesha siyempre hindi pa.”

Dawn is admittedly protective of her kids, which is why she wouldn’t want them exposed to the world of show business at an early age. “Well, I will allow them [to join showbiz] if that’s what they really want, but only after they finish schooling. They can do what they want to do. Hindi naman kami pwedeng mag-dictate. I’m not sure about hilig, pero siguro may talent sila, marunong naman magjoke at magdrama. Alam mo naman mga bata, they’re personable, lahat gusto gayahin. So kung yun interpretation mo na gusto mag-artista, hindi naman siguro.”

When asked if she and her husband Anton Lagdameo are planning to have another baby anytime soon, Dawn was quick to say that they’re already happy with their two beautiful kids. “Mahirap magbuntis. As much as I would like more children, ang hirap. Actually nahirapan siya (Anton) para sa akin. Siya na ang unang nagsabi nung pinagbubuntis ko pa lang yung pangalawa ko, sabi niya last na ‘to kasi may boy and girl na tayo. Nahihirapan siya watching me having a hard time. So if I can help it, okay na yung dalawa,” she added.
