The family of AJ Perez has decided to open the young actor's wake to everyone, especially to his fans.
Public viewing of Perez's remains will start at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday (April 19) at La Salle Greenhills chapel in San Juan and 9 p.m. to 12 midnight.
On Sunday night, families, friends and colleagues of the young actor flocked to the first night of the wake.
Present in the wake were ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, Star Magic families and other artists such as Kathryn Bernardo, Sam Concepcion, Kitkat, Julia Montes, Rodjun Cruz, Lauren Young, Maegan Young, Empress Schuck, Ai Ai delas Alas and director Wenn V. Deramas.
Perez was killed in a vehicular accident in Tarlac highway early Sunday morning after doing a show in Dagupan.
Police said Perez was with his father and 4 others aboard an ABS-CBN van that collided with a Partas provincial passenger bus along McArthur Highway in Barangay San Julian, Tarlac.
Initial investigation showed that his van tried to overtake a trailer truck when it hit a coming Partas bus.
AJ's family says 'thank you'
The family of Perez extended their appreciation to all the people who helped them and showed sympathy to their family.
"Our family is in shock and is deeply saddened by AJ's sudden death. We wish to extend our gratitude to ABS-CBN, Star Magic and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group for their immediate support and assistance. We also wish to thank our relatives, friends and supporters of AJ for all their prayers and words of encouragement," said Charie Ortis, the actor's aunt and Perez's spokesperson.
