Vina Morales, the female voice behind the hit teleserye theme songs, goes back in the recording scene as she gives time for her first love, singing, via her third album under Star Records entitled “Awit ng Ating Buhay.”
After an eight-year hiatus in the recording scene, Vina, with the help of Star Records, offers a compilation album which features 10 tracks of the country well-loved and emotion-filled teleserye theme songs. Cuts include “Buhay Ko’y Ikaw,” “Sana,” “Tunay na Pag-ibig,” “Ngayon at Kailanman,” “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana,” “Malayo Pa Ang Umaga,” “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos,” “Maging Sino Ka Man,” “Saan Darating ang Umaga,” and “Pangako.”
The album’s carrier single, “Sana,” is now enjoying good airplay in various radio stations nationwide.
Ms. Annabelle Regalado-Borja, Star Records’ managing director, mentioned that the tracks in the “Awit ng Ating Buhay” album is very fitting for Vina’s singing prowess aside from the fact that she once had her own version of the songs included in the compilation, “Vina sings with her heart. And so the tracks, which are basically OPM love songs, fit Vina’s voice so well, not because she once had her own rendition of the songs. It is for the reason na magaling talaga siya. It is but right to produce an album that will highlight her distinct voice. I’m sure namiss siya ng mga tao na magkaroon ng album.”
Vina expressed her high gratitude for Star Records for reuniting her with her first love. “Ang saya ko po talaga. Ang tagal ko na rin kasing hindi nagrerelease ng bagong album. Namiss ko talaga mag-record and kumanta para sa isang album. Laking pasasalamat ko sa Star Records sa pagtulong sakin na magawa ko ulit yung miss na miss ko ng gawin,” Vina shared.
Vina started singing at the age of ten in Cebu. She has been in the entertainment industry for nearly 25 years.
