Toni Gonzaga on Working With Eugene Domingo

Toni Gonzaga said that she and Eugene Domingo are not trying to outdo each other in their upcoming movie under Star Cinema. Toni added that she admires Eugene for being cooperative so that they can both act well.

Toni also shared that it’s nerve-wracking to work with veterans of the industry, people like their director Jose Javier Reyes. However, she said that niether Eugene nor Direk Joey gave her any reason to feel intimidated.

The actress-host also said that the misunderstanding between her and Happy Yipee Yehey! co-host Mariel Rodriguez is totally resolved. As a matter of fact, Toni attended the premiere night of Mariel’s movie with husband Robin Padilla, Tum: My Pledge of Love. She added that it is only proper that she support Mariel, who never missed a premiere night or concert that Toni had in the past.

Toni, who came right from her shooting that night, related that she really tried to find a way to make it to the premiere right. She explained that Direk Joey did not allow her to skip the shooting day but permitted her to leave early so she could attend the movie premiere.

Meantime, Toni denied tabloid reports that she supposedly feels insecure about her sister, Alex Gonzaga, who has a lot of acting and hosting projects on another network. She clarified that she was the one who actually encouraged her sister to venture into acting.
