Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who just returned home from the United States, is planning a big "surprise" for her fans: a slimmer body. One of her friends, hairstylist and makeup artist Fanny Serrano, made the statement on Wednesday during a press conference for his endorsement for Novuhair hair products.
According to him, Cuneta lost at least 6 inches off her waist thanks to a strict diet.
"Kasi alam mo ang bewang niya from 40 plus [inches] ay nasa 34 [inches] na ngayon," he said, adding, "Sabi niya sa akin na magugulat kayo."
Serrano said Cuneta was inspired to lose weight while hosting ABS-CBN's reality show "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition."
"Na-touch siya doon sa 'Biggest Loser,' na-touch siya. Hindi ba, iyak nang iyak lagi ang mga contestant doon? Ang ganda talaga ng show. Doon, nakikita mo iba na siya," he said.
"'Yung ibang tao sinasabi 'ano ba 'yan, si Sharon ang taba-taba.' Sabi ko 'maghintay kayo, doon sasabay si Sharon, 'yun ang purpose kaya siya nilagay diyan [sa show].'"
Some groups earlier scored Cuneta for her Marie France billboard along EDSA , which was allegedly retouched to make her look slimmer.
The Megastar maintained that her "before and after" pictures on the billboard were real, saying that she would never deceive the public.
Meanwhile, Serrano said Cuneta might do a movie with former husband Gabby Concepcion after "Biggest Loser."
He will also be doing a project with the Megastar soon, the beauty expert added.
"After nito (Biggest Loser), gagawa na ng movie talaga [si Sharon]. (Sharon-Gabby?) Yes, baka mag-KC na din," he said, referring to Cuneta's daughter with the actor
