Jericho Rosales Will Not Leave ABS-CBN

Actor Jericho Rosales said he will be taking a two-month break from showbiz.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com during a press conference for ABS-CBN's newest reality show "I Dare You," Rosales said he will study advanced acting in the US.

"Yes, I'm going abroad. Acting 'yong lesson. Dapat filmmaking pero nabitin ako sa time dahil may kailangan akong gawin. Then the Newport Beach opened new doors for me. Tapos na-realize ko na kailangan kong mag-prepare if ever. Who knows? If ever God tells me na, 'Go abroad and work there for a while', dapat ready ako, hindi ba?" Rosales said.

The actor said his first Hollywood film, "Subject: I Love You", opened his mind to grab opportunities abroad.

"Definitely maraming auditions doon. Kahit maka-tsamba ako ng isa, isa lang...," he said.

Rosales said he is praying now to find a very good agent in Hollywood.

"Ako, hindi ko iiwan ang Pilipinas kung saan ako mapadpad. Of course ang puso ko dito sa Pilipinas. Gusto ko lang mag-expand," he added.

During the interview, Rosales also cleared the issue that he will be leaving the ABS-CBN network.

"Wala, hindi ako lilipat sa ibang network," said Rosales who just finished his contract with ABS-CBN.

He stressed that he is due to sign a new contract under the Kapamilya network.

Report has it that Rosales wants to leave his current network to go freelance.

The actor told abs-cbnNEWS.com that he only wants to learn new things.

"It's more of how can I contribute to a station or to a program. Parang ganoon. It's more of that. Hindi 'yong may problema ako or what," he said.

He added: "Actually nag-dare ako. Dinare ko ang sarili ko kung kaya ko bang gawin ito."

Rosales admitted that there were offers for him to work in other networks but he turned them down.

"Definitely one thing na hindi ko gagawin sa sarili ko ay to slap ABS-CBN in the face," he said.

Currently, Rosales is part of ABS-CBN's "ASAP Rocks".

He is also busy taping for "I Dare You" which will premiere this Monday, July 11 before "Mula sa Puso."
