Destiny Duarte of Cebu became the first contestant voted off from "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition" on Monday night.Duarte's Red Team decided to vote her off after she lost only 10 lbs. Her starting weight when the reality show started was 221 lbs.
Duarte, 23, had a hard time losing weight after she sprained her ankle during the show's first challenge wherein the 2 teams had to pull a 10-wheeler truck.
"I'm so sorry kung 'di ko sa inyo napakita 'yung best ko. Hindi ko din kagustuhan na maaksidente ako. It's OK. Kailangan ko din sigurong maipahinga ang paa ko para makabalik din ako ng normal," Duarte told her team after the voting.
"I'm sad kasi ako ang na-vote out pero now I'm thinking may better plan pa si Lord para sa akin," she added.
Before she leaves "The Biggest Loser" camp in Cavite, Duarte vowed that people will be surprised to see her again.
"Pilipinas, next time you'll see me, I'll be happier, sexier and mas maganda na ako," said Duarte, who immediately went home to her family in Cebu.
Meanwhile, Larry Martin was announced as "The Biggest Loser of the Week" after he lost 26 lbs. from his original weight of 255 lbs.
For his dedication to lose weight, the show surprised him with pictures of his family.
"N'ung nakita ko ang picture frame ng binyag ng pangalawa kong anak, hindi ko masyado ma-express pero masaya ako masyado," he said.
