Xyriel Manabat Talks About Working in 100 Days To Heaven

Child star Xyriel Manabat said she is really happy to star in the top-rating teleserye 100 Days To Heaven because it’s the kind of story that teaches viewers a lot of moral values. She was just worried that children her age would come to dislike her because of her mean character in the soap. “Opo, gusto ko po [mag-hit ulit itong show]. Sana panoorin niyo ang 100 Days to Heaven. Tapos dito salbahe ako,” said Xyriel in a recent interview with Push.com.ph.

The witty seven-year-old was quick to assure her fans though that she’s a good girl in real life. “Thank you sa paghanga niyo sa akin pero sana huwag kayo magagalit sa akin dahil napakasama ko dito, on TV lang ako ganito. Minsan makulit ako sa totoong buhay, pero kadalasan po very good.” But she added that she really enjoys taping for 100 Days To Heaven with co-stars like Coney Reyes.

John Estrada came up to say hi to Xyriel during the interview and it was obvious that their closeness remained long after their show Agua Bendita ended. John even carried Xyriel in his arms and congratulated her on her new teleserye. When asked how she feels to see John again, the child star replied, “Opo, na-miss ko siya kasi ngayon lang ulit kami nagkita. Kasi lagi niya ako tinuturuan kung paano umarte. Kapag umiiyak ako, sinasabi niya, ‘Umiyak ka, umiyak ka.’ Pero po kapag good take na, sasabihin niya, ‘Okay ka baby, ang galing mo.’ Opo, love na love po niya ako.”

Because of her lovable personality, Xyriel easily establishes a good rapport with most of the celebrities that she works with. In fact, she keeps in touch with them through her mobile phone. She showed to Push.com.ph the list of her contacts which includes Jodi Sta. Maria, Queenie Padilla, and fellow child star Zaijan Jaranilla.

Is it safe to say that her celebrity crush is one of her textmates?
