Sam Milby attended the press preview of 100 Days To Heaven last Sunday, May 1, to show his support for the upcoming teleserye, which he believes can teach valuable lessons to viewers. Sam will have a cameo role in the said primetime teleserye that will start airing on May 9.
The actor also revealed that he will soon return to primetime via the teleserye Alta. Sam will star opposite Gretchen Barretto, Angelica Panganiban, KC Concepcion, and Zanjoe Marudo. But for the meantime, the actor-singer said that he will focus on his upcoming movie with KC.
Apart from his acting career, Sam added that he intends to focus on his music, which he set aside for the past few years. The Fil-Am actor related that he is currently working on his next album. He added that it will contain revival songs, with one or two of his original compositions.
“Medyo matagal na ako ‘di nagsusulat ng kanta,” he confessed. He shared that when he went to the US during the Holy Week break for the Star Magic Tour, he suddenly realized how much he missed doing music. “I started playing the guitar more. Parang I missed playing music, I missed having music in my life,” he explained. “For three [or] four years, hindi ako nagsusulat ng mga kanta. For the longest time [I focused on] acting [and] pagdating sa bahay [I would directly go to] sleep.”
When Push.com.ph asked Sam what the song he is currently writing is all about, he replied, “[About] inspiration. In love, pero wala akong love life… wala akong love life talaga. The one I started writing reminds me of ‘Love Songs For No One’ by John Meyer.”
Sam also confirmed that there are talks between his and Marie Digby’s camp to do a duet for his album. He continued that just like many, he is a fan of the YouTube sensation, who has been romantically linked to him. “Fan talaga ako bago ko siya makilala. I watched all her videos [and] up until now I still watch her videos at magaling talaga siya. She’s very talented so to be able to do a collaboration or kahit one of her songs to do a duet [would be a pleasure].”
