The year has been good so far for Vice President Jejomar Binay. While the trust rating of President Noynoy Aquino continues to slip, Binay’s own rating is on a rise. Based on Pulse Asia's survey last March, Binay's trust rating rose to 81 percent from around 75 to 78 percent last October 2010.
Others attribute his high trust rating to his position being just a “shadow” of the president, thus getting less attention and flak. But Binay believes it is a true reflection of his performance as the country’s second “father.”
