Former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemates James Reid and Devon Seron received a very special gift from their fans as they both turned 18 years old this May. James turned 18 last May 11, but he celebrated his birthday along with Devon’s last May 20 as their fans organized a big party for them which was also attended by their close friends. Present during the party were their PBB batchmates Ivan Dorschner, Joe Vargas, Eslove Briones, and Patrick Sugui, and also Good Vibes co-stars Arron Villaflor, Lynn Oeymo, Chikara Nawa, Coleen Garcia, and Enrique Gil.In an interview before the party program, Devon and James expressed their deep gratitude to their fans for throwing them a big celebration. “Thank you sa lahat ng Jaevon (James-Devon) fans. Sobra ang pasasalamat ko sa suporta ninyo. Ang ganda ng party na inihanda ninyo para sa amin ni James,” said Devon. Fil-Australian James was overwhelmed with the unwavering support of their fans since their PBB days. “Thanks most especially to the global fans. It’s been a year since PBB but they are still here supporting us.”
Devon’s family and other relatives from Cebu came to celebrate with her, but most of James’s loved ones were all in Australia, but he said he is planning to visit them soon. They also exchanged birthday wishes. Devon said, “Sana matuto na siyang mag-Tagalog, ha ha ha! Sana rin more blessings para sa kanya. Magpakabait lagi.” From James, “I wish Devon will stay down to earth. I want her to stay the same. She has a lot of shows now so she’s getting more famous. I hope she will remain humble.”
The two, however, were mum about the gifts they bought for each other. James shared, “I have a gift for her, but it’s only for her. I don’t want anyone to see it. It’s boxing gloves because she likes punching people and she’s very strong. Kidding!” On the other hand, Devon only gave a little clue about her gift for James. “Secret na lang, ha ha ha! Baka mahulaan kasi niya agad. Basta kapag bored siya pwede niyang gamitin.”
James and Devon became a very popular love team inside the PBB house as the “rich Aussie boy-meets-simple Cebuana girl.” But James clarified that he and Devon are still good friends until now. “Nothing much has changed. We still see each other most of the time because of Good Vibes. There’s so much good vibes between us.”
Though she’s now 18 years-old, Devon quickly dismissed possible suitors. “Wala po munang ligaw ligaw, ha ha ha! Bawal pa sabi ng family. Work muna at siyempre studies.”
