Sam Concepcion Thrilled Over Good Vibes

Actor-singer Sam Concepcion is excited about his latest TV show on ABS-CBN entitled "Good Vibes" with actor Enrique Gil.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Concepcion said that people, especially the teenagers, will really enjoy watching his new project as they will try to present a new story and new dance moves.

"Sobrang excited talaga. It will be after 'ASAP Rocks'. Excited ako kasi very bago ang show, very fresh and I will be working with new people. Siyempre excited ako to be back on a serye again, at pinaghirapan namin. Nagte-training kami ng dance, may acting workshop and all that to really put the show together at mag-offer ng new para sa mga kabataan ngayon," Concepcion said.

Concepcion's last TV series was "Boystown."

Directed by Nico Hernandez and Theodore Boborol, "Good Vibes" tells the story of half-brothers Marc Pedroza (Concepcion) and Troy Cabrera (Gil) who both have to learn how to deal with each other after their worlds suddenly meet due to unfortunate and inevitable circumstances.

"Dito we tackle issues ng mga kabataan ngayon even 'yung mga teenage pregnancy, something like that, pero with a common ground na dancing. Kasi we happen to be part of the dance group. 'Yun ang pinaka-basis niya. Maganda ang story," the singer stressed.

In the interview, Concepcion also cleared misconceptions that the new show is a copycat of the US hit series "Glee."

He said the "Good Vibes" cast won't be singing.

"Hindi naman kami kumakanta dito. Malaya siya sa ganoong format. But we are trying a different format, something new to offer sa mga kabataan every Sunday afternoon. Dancing kasi it's a great way to connect sa mga kabataan. We all love music at mahilig tayo sa mga nagpe-perform. Iba ang formula niya dito," Concepcion said.

Also part of the series are newbie stars Yen Santos, Coleen Garcia, Devon Seron, Linn Oeymo, James Reid, Ivan Dorschner, Kazel Kinouchi, Heidi Riego, and Chikara Nawa.

ABS-CBN’s newest youth-oriented drama “Good Vibes” will premiere on April 3 after "ASAP Rocks."
