Xian Lim Eats the Food Brought by Jolo Revilla for Kim Chiu

Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson Invite Public to Watch Second Movie Together

Actor Gerald Anderson and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo called on the public to support their second movie project.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, Geronimo said she and Anderson are working hard to make their movie beautiful.

Geronimo is hoping that people would appreciate this film the same way they patronized "Catch Me...I'm in Love," the Pop Princess' first movie with Anderson.

Anderson, for his part, said he is looking forward to working again with Geronimo as they are already comfortable with each other.

Teka, adjusted from what? Ha ha ha. Mas sanay na kami sa isa't isa,” he explained.

The movie is set to be shown before the year ends.

Robi Domingo Wants to be a Doctor

Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Robi Domingo has revealed his plan to take up medicine after college.

In an interview with “Kris TV” on Thursday, 21-year-old Domingo said that he wants to be a doctor, just like his parents.

“Either cardio[logy] or optha[lmology],” Domingo replied when asked about the specialty he is planning to pursue.

According to Domingo, he is willing to go straight to medical school immediately after graduating from college if his work schedule permits it.

“Kung wala pong projects na dumating, kung wala pong offer, I’ll go straight [to medical school] kasi sayang po ‘yong time e,” he explained.

Should a major project come his way this year, he said that he is more than willing to push back his dream of becoming a doctor for a while.

He said, “Kung meron pong malaking i-offer na project this year, I’ll take a year off and work, para at least hindi naman po sayang yung opportunity.”

Kathryn Bernardo Doesn't Want to Assume That She is a Big Star Already

“So natutuwa kami kasi effective.

Kim Chiu Welcomes Gerald Anderson's New Leading Lady

Kim Chiu reacted to a "Showbiz News Ngayon" report that Jessy Mendiola has been receiving hate mail and negative tweets since she started working with Gerald Anderson for the television project "Budoy."

Anderson is Chiu's long-time on-screen partner.

The report said that some members of "Kimerald," or fans of the loveteam of Chiu and Anderson, do not like the latter's new leading lady.

Chiu maintained, however, that most of the Kimeralds have already expressed support for Anderson and Mendiola.

"Alam ko wala naman [issue]. Siguro mga dalawa or isa lang 'yon. Sa 100% siguro mga 5% lang 'yon at ang 95% naka-suporta sa kanila," Chiu told abs-cbnNEWS.com in an interview during a press conference for her upcoming series, "My Binondo Girl," which will premiere on ABS-CBN on August 22.

And siyempre mas matutuwa ako kasi may taong nag-aalaga sa kanya."

In a recent interview, Mendiola said she fully understands the reaction of some fans.

Members of "Kimerald Forever" have denied that the hate mail came from them.

Meanwhile, Chiu also addressed speculations that some female stars are now afraid to work with Anderson because of the diehard fans of their loveteam.

May kanya-kanya na kaming buhay ngayon," she said.

Chiu said what is important now is that she and Anderson are good friends.

Cherrie Pie Picache Excited to be Back on Primetime

Award-winning actress Cherry Pie Picache is thrilled to be back on primetime television with her upcoming series, "My Binondo Girl."

"Yes, thank you. I really miss it. I miss appearing on primetime," she told abs-cbnNEWS.com during a press conference for the romantic comedy series top billed by young actress Kim Chiu.

Picache's last primetime show is ABS-CBN's defunct television series "Noah" with hunk actor Piolo Pascual.

"Nagpapasalamat ako. Namahinga din ako so ang tagal. My last was 'Noah' noong January so I'm excited to come back. August na so that's about 6 months of resting, excited tapos kontrabida pa ang role ko, so maganda," she said.

In "My Binondo Girl," Picache will play the character of Margaret dela Vega.

Asked if she is not getting tired of doing antagonist roles, Picache replied, "Kontrabida na yata ako all the way.

Aside from "My Binondo Girl," Picache is also busy promoting her indie movie, "Isda."

Sarah Geronimo Denies Switching Network

Now that she’s back in the country, Sarah Geronimo is busy with showbiz commitments, endorsements, and her upcoming movie Gerald Anderson. After the success of their first movie together, Sarah admitted that there is less pressure on their onscreen team-up. “Nung bagong simula yung aming pelikula siyempre may doubts kami kung mag-wo-work ba yung kami, kung may chemistry ba kami, ganun. Thank God na lahat ng supporters na-appreciate nila yung effort namin in making a good movie for all of them,” she shared.

But even while shooting their first movie, Catch Me, I’m Falling, Sarah admitted it was not hard to adjust to her leading man.

Although they have chemistry as a couple onscreen, Sarah clarified that she and Gerald only share a professional relationship. Not at all. Kasi okay kami eh. Hindi naman kailangan ma-pressure di ba?” she said.

During her short stay abroad where she took dancing lessons to further hone her skills, Sara said she did miss seeing Gerald. “Oo naman. Napaka-gentleman naman ni Gerald at saka napaka-professional as an actor. At kahit wala kaming constant communication like through texting, nandudun pa rin yung chemistry at yung friendship namin. Sarah also adds that she has thankfully not received any backlash from fans of the actor and former love team partner Kim Chiu.

While her next movie is still in the planning stages, Sarah admitted she has prioritized her singing career over acting lately. “Wala pang teleserye. siguro kasi marami kasing concerts, priority ko talaga yung concerts. At saka may pelikula naman so yun lang siguro muna,” she said.

But before all that, the Pop Princess answered the issue that she is planning on leaving the Kapamilya Network.

The 22 year-old said that she has learned to accept the constant flow of intrigues that come her way being in the limelight. “Kumbaga yung issues, talagang never-ending yan when you’re in show business, so tanggap ko na yun. Kasi bahagi yan ng showbiz world. Alam ko na yan,” she said.

The Popstar Princess said that even though she has many projects lined up, it is not an excuse to feel like a big time celebrity.

Now that Nora Aunor is back in the country, Sarah admitted that she would love to get the chance to work on a project with the Philippines’ Superstar. “Siyempre dream come true yun if ever matuloy yung makatrabaho ko ang superstar na si Miss Nora Aunor. Nabigyan ako ng chance na makapagpa-picture with her.

Judy Ann Santos Wants to Work With Sharon Cuneta and Sarah Geronimo in a Movie

Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos admitted she is not sure if her movie with Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo will still push through.

In the “Tanong All U Can” segment of “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Wednesday, Santos said she has not heard of any development about the planned movie. She stressed she would definitely be happy if it finally materializes.

“Wala pa akong balita diyan pero sana matuloy kasi talagang isa iyan sa mga pelikulang gugustuhin kong gawin,” she said.

Last February, Santos’ talent manager Alfie Lorenzo confirmed to the media that the three will work in a movie.

Meanwhile, Santos also disclosed she is open to doing another television series.

“Only God knows [kung kailan ako ulit gagawa ng teleserye]. Maraming puwedeng mangyari sa mundong ito,” she said.

Asked if she would be willing to work with actor Piolo Pascual again, the actress replied: “Working with him again, with a good project na talagang maganda at maayos, oo naman, bakit hindi?”

Santos is now busy promoting ABS-CBN's upcoming reality cooking show for kids, "Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition," which she will host.

She is also shooting her comeback movie with Agoncillo, entitled "Househusband."

Santos took a short break from showbiz after giving birth to her son, Lucio.

New Kapamilya Paulo Avelino Dreams of Working With Kim Chiu

Paulo Avelino recently signed a three-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, and in an interview following the signing, he expressed his gratitude to the Kapamilya network. Thankful and happy ako na ABS-CBN accepted me.

Paulo started out in showbiz as part of an artista search on another network. He clarified that there’s no bad blood between him and his former bosses, and that his decision to switch was for the growth of his career. Gusto ko lang mag-explore, go out of my comfort zone. I want to re-invent myself. For my career growth lang.”

The projects in store for the 23-year-old actor is still under wraps, but according to him, he would love to hone his skills in dramatic acting. He recently starred in the Cinemalaya movie Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwa ang Paa.

When asked who among the Kapamilya leading ladies he would love to work with, Paulo named My Binondo Girl star Kim Chiu.

Meanwhile, among the ABS-CBN leading men, Paulo said he has so much respect for Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin actor Coco Martin. Madami akong matututunan.”

But Paulo clarified that he didn’t come to ABS-CBN to compete or outshine anyone. He explained that he just want to become a better actor and learn new things in the industry.

Erik Santos' 'Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka' Music Video

Here is Erik Santos's music video for his latest song " Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka" from his newest album, "Awit Para Sa'yo" out now in all record bars nationwide.

"Way Back Home" Combines a Touching Story with Powerful Cast

The movie Way Back Home tells the story of how a family was torn apart because the mother (Agot Isidro) stopped caring about anything else except for her missing daughter Joanna (Kathryn Bernardo). As a result, Jessica (Julia) grew up embittered by the fact that her accomplishments in school are not enough to bring back her mom’s zest for life. Until one day, they unexpectedly cross paths with Joanna and their family becomes complete again. But instead of being happy about it, Jessica’s insecurities get the best of her as Joanna wins over not only their mother’s love but even the affection of their schoolmates’ as well. How long will the rivalry between the two last? When will Jessica stop punishing Joanna for her miserable childhood?

It’s a simple enough storyline and one that is used many times before in Philippine movies and soaps. Nevertheless, the dramatic prowess and mass appeal of both Kathryn and Julia prove to be a refreshing treat to moviegoers. Those who have watched the movie can’t help but shed tears every time their characters go through heart-rending circumstances. Aside from the big confrontation scene between the two during a school retreat, Kathryn particularly shines when she has a heart-to-heart talk with Agot, asking permission for her to go back to her family in the province. She is endearing all throughout the film and shows great promise as a certified dramatic actress. Julia, on the other hand, wows audience with how easily she transforms from a rebellious teenager to a loving daughter and sister in the movie. One of her notable scenes is the part where she finally voices out her long-buried resentments to her mother.

Although Julia and Kathryn don’t necessarily need a love team to make the movie work, viewers who are looking for a romantic angle won’t be disappointed at all. Enrique Gil and Sam Concepcion proved to be great additions to the cast since they established on screen chemistry with Kathryn and Julia, respectively. The two pairs even complement each other with Kathryn and Enrique's cheesy but sweet encounters together with Julia and Sam’s love-hate relationship in the film.

All in all, Way Back Home is a must-see film that’s not only value for money but is also good entertainment for viewers of any age.

Gerald Anderson Impressed With Sarah Geronimo's Dancing Skills

After the success of their first movie pairing Catch Me, I’m in Love earlier this year, Gerald Anderson admitted that he is looking forward to his next big screen project with Sarah Geronimo. With the yet untitled film still in the planning stages, Gerald said it might take some time for him to get some bonding time with the Popstar Princess. Yung friendship namin at yung professionalism, yun yung importante ngayon, lalo na that we might be starting on a new movie. Siyempre yung friendship yun yung foundation namin. Yung friendship namin yung importante ngayon, na ma-maintain yun,” he shared.

The 22-year-old actor also explained why it is not always important that his onscreen chemistry with Sarah must translate offscreen as well. So siguro nakita nung mga tao na may chemistry nga kami and we’re happy for that. Kumbaga step by step. Huwag na po natin pilitin. Kumbaga, kasi sobrang saya namin kapag nagkikita kami, kapag may mga ganitong events, let’s leave it at that muna,” he stressed.

Gerald, who is single at the moment, says he is not courting anybody for now. “My love life is okay naman, steady lang.

Gerald also shared that he is not intimidated by Sarah’s Mommy Divine, who is reportedly strict when it comes to her daughter’s would-be suitors.

Gerald also added that when the time comes that he does decide to court someone, it will be when he is fully ready to get into a relationship again. “Dapat lang sure ka. Kahit sinong liligawan ko siyempre dapat okay ako sa pamilya niya, okay ka sa lahat kahit sa mga kaibigan niya para mas malaki yung chance mo ‘di ba?” he said.

Gerald also commented on how impressed he was by Sarah’s dancing skills after taking lessons abroad for a few weeks. Lagi kaming magkasama dun. Napansin ko lalo siyang gumaling sa pagsayaw. Talagang sobrang hataw niya. Iba yung stage presence niya nung bumalik siya. Sabi ko sa kanya pumuti siya,” he said.

Now that he was recently launched as Globe Prepaid’s newest endorser along with Sarah, Gerald admitted that he feels more comfortable with her now. Wala namang ibig sabihin yun,” he said.

Enrique Gil Didn't Expect to be Part of Way Back Home

Enrique Gil didn’t expect to land a role in the movie Way Back Home, much less be paired with its lead star Kathryn Bernardo. As it is, his character was supposed to be played by Albie CasiƱo, who used to be Kathryn’s love team in the teleserye Mara Clara. “Hindi ko talaga inasahan na mapupunta sa akin yung role kasi ginagawa ko yung Mula Sa Puso that time at alam kong may parating akong bagong soap (Budoy). Tapos may tumawag sa akin, ang sabi, ‘Magsyu-shooting ka na in two days for the movie.’ Kaya may konting kaba kasi first time kami magkakaparehas ni Kathryn. Sana pumatok sa mga fans, sana ma-enjoy nila yung mga scenes namin together,” said Enrique in a recent interview with Push.com.ph.

The 19-year-old cutie further shared that he owes a lot to director Wenn Deramas who gave him his first major break on TV.

As for his love life, Enrique insisted that he’s not pursuing anyone at the moment. He also refuted previous reports linking him to Erich Gonzales. Tapos lumabas kami as a group ng iba naming kasamahan nung patapos na yung show.

Unlike other celebrity couples, Enrique claimed that he wouldn’t keep his relationship a secret if he truly has a girlfriend. “Kapag nagkaroon ako ng girlfriend at the right time, hindi ko ide-deny. Paano kung wrong time? I want to be proud of it.”

Is he affected by the fact that Erich is projecting a sexier image in her latest soap, Maria La Del Barrio? “Ewan ko, I’m not in the right position para magselos. It's the management’s choice, so okay lang. Hindi naman siya nagpaalam sa akin. Hindi naman kailangan. Tsaka lately, wala na talaga kaming communication,” he added.

Many Filipinos honor him as one of our country’s modern day heroes. He is known as the father of President Noynoy Aquino and actress Kris Aquino. He is immortalized in the country’s P500 bill. But who really is the man behind these larger-than-life images?

This is the first time Piolo will be hosting a documentary, and in an interview with “TV Patrol,” the ultimate leading man revealed that he has always wanted to become a journalist like Ninoy thus, this project is a dream come true to him.

“It has always been my desire to be a news anchor. It is such a big honor for me to narrate such a wonderful story. I hope another opportunity like this would arise in the future,” said Piolo in a report aired on “TV Patrol.”

Piolo, who once portrayed the martyred senator in a special “MMK” episode, will show viewers who Ninoy is in the eyes of his children, his siblings, childhood friends, allies and other people he worked or interacted with in the various stages of his life. The special documentary will dig archival photos, videos, and articles on the news archives and other sources to give you a full grasp of what he was like when he was still alive.
