Piolo Pascual revealed that work has already begun on his next film, a project with Angelica Panganiban. The two previously worked together in the 2004 afternoon teleserye Mangarap Ka.After seven years, the actor shared that Angelica has grown into a fine lady. “Nag-blossom siya, ibang-iba ‘yung itsura niya ngayon. Talagang ‘pag nakikita ko siya… kagabi bago ako umalis ng set, wala siyang makeup andun lang siya nag-stay sa tent, parang anghel talaga, she’s a goddess. Isa siyang tao na ‘pag nakita mo, mas maganda pa ‘pag walang makeup, eh.”
Piolo added that unlike her “palaban” reputation, Angelica is actually a very nice person. “Napakasimpleng tao but mas marami ka pang makikita ‘pag nakasama mo siya. Sa first day nagdala siya ng pusit, paboritong kong ulam [she’s very] sweet. Napakabait na tao kasi hindi ko naman ine-expect ‘yon, nakakatuwa.”
This will also be Piolo’s movie after three years, which is why he is really excited. “Kaya every time I go to the set, I look forward to working [and] dahil ilang linggo rin akong nabakante dahil nagbakasyon, tapos nagpunta pa ko sa Amerika.” He added that he actually had to adjust to the long hours of working because it’s been years since he did a film. “Hirap lang talaga mag-adjust sa puyat but I’m excited because ‘yung katrabaho ko ‘yung bagong blockbuster director si Direk Mae Cruz.”
Piolo also said that he will also make a movie with Kim Chiu and denied that Angelica’s role in their upcoming film was first offered to Kim. “It’s a different concept altogether, hindi parehong pelikula ‘yon. Iba ‘yung kay Kim, iba ‘yung kay Angelica,” he clarified.
He said that his movie project with Kim got delayed because of their schedules. “Nagkaroon lang ng konting problema sa schedule but definitely I’m going to be doing a movie with Kim. Hintay lang tayo ng oras kung kelan mag-swak ang schedules namin.”
