Mara Clara stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes recently signed contracts with Star Cinema, formalizing the plan to launch the two young stars on the big screen. The film project includes Kathryn’s Mara Clara leading man Albie CasiƱo. AJ Perez was supposed to be paired with Julia, until a tragic accident claimed the life of the young actor last April 17.
During the contract signing, Julia expressed her sadness over AJ’s passing and her regret about losing the chance to be working with him.
Push.com.ph had earlier interviewed AJ during the story conference for the movie project and when asked who between Kathryn and Julia did he find more attractive, the young actor said, “Sa kanilang dalawa? Siguro I’ll just go for Julia.” AJ had added that he gets attracted to mestiza girls just like Julia.
When told about this, Julia felt very flattered. “Well, of course, nakaka-flatter naman na manggaling ‘yun sa isang AJ Perez.” The young actress shared that prior to the accident, she and AJ, together with Kathryn and Albie, would text each other about their plans to go out. “Nagkaka-BBM kami minsan.
As for their upcoming movie, who does Julia think can play her leading man?
Now that Kathryn and Julia are about to cross over from TV to the big screen, the two confessed that they are feeling pressured over the responsibility of commanding a box office hit.
