The unbeatable duo -- Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja -- made the top 4 finalists of the 2011 Binibining Pilipinas pageant smile as they serenaded the beauty queens at "Silberadyo", the 25th anniversary of dzMM, the country's leading AM station.The event was held at One Esplanade in Pasay City on Thursday night.
Taberna and Baja, anchors of dzMM's hit radio show "Dos Por Dos", performed James Blunt's hit "You're Beautiful" in front of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Shamcey Supsup and 3 other Bb. Pilipinas winners.
Also present at the event were dzMM's reporters and anchors -- Julius Babao, Winnie Cordero, Ariel Ureta and Kabayan Noli de Castro.
Aside from Taberna and Baja, award-winning broadcaster Karen Davila also gamely sang a duet with dzMM head Peter Musngi.
The crowd also enjoyed Pinky Webb and Ted Failon's duet of unforgettable songs like "Fallin,'" "This Guy is in Love with You," and "Don't Cha."
ABS-CBN chief executive officer Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III led the ABS-CBN executives who attended the event.
"Alam niyo po, noong bumalik kami in 1986, the rebirth of ABS-CBN really started with dzMM. And it was dzMM that really set the tone for what ABS-CBN has become in the service of the Filipino," Lopez said.
